Festival Weather

For the inaugural Festival Weather Show on Muck FM two of Brighton’s biggest party bass goons are stepping up to the fold – Headfuzz and DJ Moai.

The two have been and are part of numerous sucessful nights in Brighton, including the longstanding institution that is The Slackers Convention, Fat! Records night Chew The Fat!, You’re Safe with Us and have formed two fifths of the nutters who ran the infamous indoor free parties that were The Electric Playboys Club at the now sadly defunct Pressure Point, to name a few; as well as guest slots around the country in Reading, Manchester, Bristol and as far afield as the Lake of Stars Festival in Malawi!

Currently when the two play gigs together they perform under the Broken Headfone moniker with a sound predominantly rooted in nu skool breaks, but taking in elements of dirty house, wobbly house, techno, rock and anything else with dirty funk sounds that gets the dancefloor moving.

Funk for the heart and dirt for the head – with squeaks, bleeps and big arsed drums for everything in between. 😉

Festival Weather is a website that has been around for 5 years this summer. Formed out of a community of Glade Festival forum users who had nowhere to go after the orginal Glade forum was closed down in late summer 2005, a friendly, vibrant community sprung up very quickly centered around people with a shared love of electronic music and festivals. The site underwent an overhaul in early 2009, but still retains its ethos of being The Party Community. Subsections include a tech section for all things geeky, as well as dedicated subforums for various festivals, and a shop offering discounted early bird tickets to affiliated festivals and club nights, along with a download area for DJ mixes made by users.

At Festival Weather we’re very excited about the hook up with Muck FM for what promises to be a banging, varied radio show with the roster of DJ’s we have on the site, not to mention all the new likeminded friends from Muck FM!
